Synopsis

หุ่นเหล็กขนาดมหึมาจากห้วงอวกาศอันไกลโพ้นตกลงมาสู่พื้นโลก แล้วตามเด็กชายโฮการ์ธ ฮิวจ์ส วัย 11 ขวบไปบ้านของเขา เวลานี้ โฮการ์ธจึงมีทั้งเพื่อนตัวใหญ่และปัญหาที่ใหญ่ยิ่งกว่า..เขาจะทำอย่างไรที่จะเก็บเพื่อนยักษ์ขนาด 50 ฟุตเป็นความลับได้? โดยเฉพาะเจ้าหน้าที่รัฐบาลผู้วิตกจริตกับการตามล่า เอเลี่ยนผู้รุกรานโลก จนนำไปสู่การนำกำลังเต็มกองทัพมาเพื่อทำลายเพื่อนยักษ์ตัวนี้
